Tell me something about your family
Heck! Even though this is a personal question, it’s still asked by many human resources professionals. Why do you want to know about a person’s family? Isn’t it OK to know about the person who applied for the job? People still do not understand why this question is asked so widely in interviews. Probably there could be a reason for it. But it’s not interviewing, it’s interrogation.

The interview process is most distressing for many job seekers, rating far worse than resume preparation or even the initial job hunting. Rather than admitting the mistakes you have made in jobs in the past, instead present an example of how you managed to overcome a weakness. You may say something like, ”In the past, I struggled with developing more patience with my co-workers. However, I have since grown in that area and I now look forward to teamwork experiences,” and provide an example.

Another scary interview question may concern your reasons for leaving past positions. You should never say anything negative about a former employer. Your current interviewer may know some of your ex-coworkers, and will have no problem imagining your saying negative things about him at some point in the future.
